Actors Who Appeared in Both 'The Good Wife' and 'Gilmore Girls'
Two of my favourite shows - Gilmore Girls and The Good Wife, have at least one thing in common - amazing actors - and many of those amazing actors have been in both shows, much to my joy. So many actors are on this list, I wondered if they had the same casting agent! I found it oddly comforting seeing Gilmore Girls actors pop up on The Good Wife, especially when sharing the screen with Cary Agos, aka Matt Czuchry, who played Logan Huntzberger on GG.
Matt Czurchry
LOGAN HUNTZBERGER / CARY AGOS
The top of the list could only be graced by the incredible Matt. He played two very important characters in both shows - Rory's boyfriend and potential baby daddy in the revival, and Alicia Florrick's competitor turned ally turned partner turned competitor again.
Edward Herrman
RICHARD GILMORE / LIONEL DEERFIELD
The late, great Edward Herrman was the patriarch of the Gilmore family and many viewers felt such a connection to him that his death was truly upsetting. Luckily however, for those yet to have watched all of The Good Wife, you have six more episodes spanning three seasons to see him play the fitting role of lawyer Lionel Deerfield.
Kelly Bishop
EMILY GILMORE / BEA WILSON
Kelly Bishop is a formidable actress and made Emily Gilmore a beloved character. She appeared as Bea Wilson, a pro-life client of Diane Lockhart on The Good Wife in 2015 and 2016, but had actually also voiced a character back in 2010 called Mrs Kent. Seems fitting that she would be a great choice for voice work as I can still hear her calling "Richard" in her instantly recogniseable voice.
Scott Cohen
MAX MEDINA / JEFFREY NACHMANN
Lorelai's one time fiance in Gilmore Girls and a defendant shooting down a drone in The Good Wife.
Dakin Matthews
HEADMASTER CHARLESTON / DR DAVID ZAREVICH
Despite being a strict headteacher you still couldn't help but love Headmaster Charleston, so it was lovely to see him pop up in The Good Wife.
Jack Carpenter
PAUL / PATRICK EDELSTEIN
In the revival he plays Rory's forgettable love interest while in The Good Wife he plays the equivalent to Mark Zuckerberg - i doubt Rory would have been forgetting Patrick as much as she did Paul.
Emily Bergl
FRANCIE / BREE
Francie Jarvis is the leader of The Puffs (the elite secret society at Chilton) while she appeared in episodes 'Unorthodox' and 'Conjugal' of The Good Wife in 2009.
